On March 29, 2006, President Marty Barrett and the Executive Board of The Honor Legion Police Departments of New Jersey welcomed numerous guests to the monthly
meeting of the Honor Legion held at the Empire Club in Little Ferry, New Jersey. Sworn in as new members of the Honor Legion were: David Becker of the Cliffside Park Police Department, Anthony DeProspo of the Paterson Police Department, Pasquale DeRito of the Cliffiside Park Police Department, Jose M. Galvan of the Paterson Police Department, Michael Gardenier of the Cliffside Park Police Department, James A. Giuchini of
the Cliffside Park Police Department, Kevin J. Goins of the Woodbridge Police Department, Cesar Heyaime of the Paterson Police Department, Paul Hroncich of the Cliffside Park Police Department, Michael Koehler of the West Paterson Police Department, Robert W. Liput Jr. of the Essex County Sheriffs Department, Roberto L. Mercado of the Paterson Police Department, Christopher R. Merrill of the Cliffside Park Police Department, William E. Morey of the New York City Police Department, Kevin J.
Palmer of the Spotswood Police Department, Bijoy Rodriguez of the Paterson Police Department, Louis E. Sarti of the Spotswood Police Department, John C. Schwedhelm of the Little Ferry Police Department, Michael Sisco of the Paterson Police Department, Rodney Telleri of the Cliffside Park Police Department, Jose L. Several citizens were sworn in as Honored Citizens for their continued outstanding dedication and support to law enforcement. The Honor Legion of the Police Departments of New Jersey was incorporated on December 27, 1966, and is recognized as a charitable organization under section 501(c)3. The Honor Legion is a fraternal, non-political
organization that develops and encourages fraternal, charitable, social, and educational activities of its members, as well as supporting societal programs. We are also involved in sponsoring programs towards children with disabilities. We provide support and assistance monetarily, morally, or in any way possible, to a New Jersey Law Enforcement Officer's family when he/she is killed in the line of duty.
